HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JANICE!!!! What would I do without you, other half? YUM! CHEEZY BREAD!!!!! ![]()
Dear Lord, Thanks for bringing Janice into my life. She ROCKS! May we stay friends forever. Amen.
YAY! Highlight of my day: BK, my personal trainer sent me a new Ab/ Leg/Ass work-out routine! He even put cool diagrams too…almost like a fitness magazine….pretty impressed
Now it’s pt workout and pilates….Nice breath of relief from all the reading and studying. I had a pretty crazy weekend…but my books do beckon for my attention
sigh. au revoir!
I had my BSAD midterm today and it was alright I suppose. Jonmon and I studied briefly before it…but I’m not sure how I feel about it beacuse everyone was still so high strung after we got out of class….after I had that midterm I went to my micro lecture which I fell asleep in during the latter half. Usually, it would have been alright because I have this really cool skill of waking up right when the professor makes a new point to jot it down in my notebook while I’m still half asleep. However, I was really groggy and my skill wasn’t as refined as it normally would be…and when I was finally wide-awake, I looked at the notes–I had taken some notes in chinese. Sigh. Fobby fobby me.
My grandma is trying to teach me how to sing Chinese songs and she wrote out the ping ying and the characters for my favorite song so I could practice it at school. She told me that she’d like to see me enter for Miss Chinatown, but I highly doubt that would happen. But learning how to sing with her is pretty cool. My grandma is seriously one of the most awesome women I know, and I love her with all my heart. She gave me three big stalks of aloe to bring back to school too…Did you know that when you put aloe in water, the water turns reddish? I wonder why it does that…
I just got back from dinner with Mr. Roboski. We were trying to get some pho, but that silly Vietnamese restaurant closes on Tuesdays…so instead we went to Chuck E Cheese’s
We played skeeball and earned enough tickets to get us each a leaping frog and a mini dino. He has a hookie game tonight, so goodluck bobby and ruben!
Contemplating whether I should go up to Tahoe for this Christmas. Jensen wants me to go with him and his family and some other friends, but that would mean I’d have to miss out on family fun night at my house. It’s between more than a weeks’ worth of snowboarding….or hanging out with all my cool cousins and opening presents…. Well it depends if pam and nicole are coming back from college…and if the munchkins are coming down from up north….and if my daddyo would be happy with the whole idea. Hang in there Jensen, I’ll give you an answer asap!
Oh, Sal Pal! I had a dream about you and me! I know…so romantic! hahahha…I dreamt that my old tour group (from europe) came by in a tour bus to pick me up…and since you came to visit me at R, they asked you to come along too! It was for another tour in europe…Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden. We packed real quick and hopped on the bus…but because I had a midterm, I had to leave when we got to Denmark so I could make it back for accounting.
O well maybe for our summer excursion in 2 years, we can complete that dream!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
!!!!! I AM SOOOO HAPPYYYYYYYY you have no idea!!!! I lost my laptop yesterday because I had put it under my desk to take a Religion and Science quiz. After the class, I left without thinking twice and jetted off to costco with my roomies. After I got home, I worked on my homework all night without realizing it was gone…Until this morning when I was looking for it. And suddenly it dawned on me that I left it in the Sproul classroom. It’s a really nice laptop mind you. Fujitsu Lifebook P Series. Mini compact with all these crazy features. I thought it was gone for good….and I was bummed this whole morning. I went to the class this morning but duh…it wasn’t there….Took the bus back to the apt. and prayed and prayed. Then I figured I might as well email the whole class and see if anyone had seen it –I gave them all my contact information….AND….2 hours later, a guy named Peter called my cell phone to tell me that he had it and to meet him in Sproul at 12! I am absoultely the luckiest girl. I gave him a $40 cash reward, which he declined, but I insisted that he take it…cuz honestly I think I should have given him more for his noble act….and I’m thinking I’ll bake him something on Tuesday when I see him in class. Honestly, having good people like that restores hope in this world. I am so so so so so so estatic. When he called, I was jumping and screaming–I think I scared my roomie and her boyfriend a bit, but they’re happy I found it also. NO MORE MINDLESSNESS!!! Maybe it was karma…because I found a phone on the floor outside of Ohlmstead yesterday and I spent my 30 min break trying to look for this person on the UCR directory and called almost every number on her phonebook. I finally got a hold of her husband and told him that I had her phone. She’s an english professor, apparently. So she called me while I was at Costco–and we agreed to meet at her office on Tuesday. I guess what comes around really does go around!
Today is such a beautiful day. I love this crisp ash free air. YUM. After I finish my accounting project, I’m gonna hit up Cabazon with Serena! yay yay! Burberry, Coach, Off Fifth here we come! Then halloween bash with the homies at andrew’s…I think I’m going to be a lady who rolls out of bed….my costume will consist of rollers, facial mask, a mumu and fuzzy slippers.
Praise the Lord, for He is good. Amen. ![]()
I had such an awesome time in the Bay Area this weekend! I miss my lil munchkins already.
I babysat the two little contessas while my aunt and uncle went out to dinner. We had such a blast! First I made them asparagus and penne pasta with shrimp, n’ then we played monopoly…(yup…an advanced game of havoc for my excelled little entrepreneurs)…Followed that up with Lizzie Mcguire…did i spell that right? Then as I listened to Kara practice the piano for an 45 minutes (although she claims it was a full hour), Maddie made me a cool bead ornament for my backpack
(that made my night)![]()

. Afterwards, we baked snickerdoodle cookies and I taught them how to make and eat pazookies. After I declared it a night, we all brushed our teeth, and I read 3 books to Maddie…we both listened to Kara read us the Velveteen Rabbit…(one of my childhood favorites) and I carried lil Maddie to her own bed when they both fell asleep.
Today, I went onto campus at Berkeley and met with two professors. They were both very helpful and gave me loads of material and resrouces to aid me in my researching. We had excellent conversations about the Russian Federation and other International Issues. Then I met up with Earl for lunch. It took him a while to find me though cuz I was playing hot or cold with him over the phone…and I was hiding behind the bushes in front of Dwinelle. He dragged me to Safeway with him to buy his weekly stash of nourishment. Oh! And I helped him pick out a lottery ticket–in which he won $9! After, he treated me to some really good Thai food…then I dragged him to the Main Stacks with me. He did his metal lab while I rummaged the whole three floors for books. I ended up bringing back a ton of books… I can’t wait to dig into them! I even had to borrow Earl’s medium sized suitcase to fill up with my crap so I can roll it home. Around four, when I wrapped up my resarch, I met up with Jensen to celebrate his anniversaire (birthday in french). I got him a Shel Silverstienn book and a sushi dinner. Happy Birthday Jensen! Don’t worry, you’ll live
I’ll probably be back before you know it. Then we hung out at his apartment and I did some more work there. My flight got delayed 2.5 hours because of the fires back here but it was all good beacuse that meant 2.5 more hours of clean air and more time with Mr. Hottie Jensen! He drove me to the airport afterwards and I boarded the plane. Upon arriving into Ontario, I got a bird’s eye view of 2 major fires. It was truly surreal. It almost felt like a time machine….from California in 2003 arriving to California in 2403–destructed by humans and pollution. Even at night you could see the smoke puffing into the sky…darker than the already black canvas.
Now…its 3:47am. I’m not really tired…I don’t know why…It must be all this adrenaline pumping through my system. I can’t wait for MUN season to start! We’re gonna rock the house in New York! I still have accounting homework that’s really easy but super long and tedious. SIGH signing out…Ciao! ![]()
Robert’s wine and cheese party was excellent! Good job Ruben! He went all out for Bobby! He set up a crazy bar with a yum yum snack bar and a black jack table. I won $8 after a 50 cent bet–thanks to my coach Mario! I gave $5 to Matt, who invested the original 50 cents in me, and I gave another $3 to Ruben for all his efforts.
I woke up late for class today, so here I am studying for my Micro midterm.
Let me enlighten you with something I’ve learned during the year. There are three types of apples in the world: Red apples, green apples, and rotten apples.
Red apples are positive people–they believe that there is enough success in the world for everyone to have some. They know what they want in life and they go for it no matter what people tell them. These happy go lucky people will do anything for their friends and maybe even strangers. They light up the room by walking in, and normally are the life of the party or conversation.
Green apples are people who always question things. They hesitate in making decisions and look to the right or left before doing anything. These apples aren’t bad beacuse they add balance to the world with the red apples. But these normally inquisitive green appled people often regret things in the future because they let their “what ifs” take them away from their dreams.
The third type of apple is the worst yet. The rotten apple. Yes. The rotten apple has problems. This person is forever bitter and angry. They’re horrible because when things aren’t going right for them, not only will they bash your dreams, but they will try to steal them as well. They will forever be miserable people unless they change because pessimism is their world. Be careful beacuse their misery can be contageous and infectious. They normally complain about everything and anything and do nothing about it. Dismal, isn’t it?
The truth is…misery doesn’t love company. Misery hates to lose company. Just watch out beacuse often times, you become who you hang out with. So what kind of apple are you? Red, Green, Rotten or a combination of a few?
Thomas Kim is the best! Yesterday I went to his pad to have dinner, and this boy can COOK! Everything was so scrumptious! Damn Koreans know how to eat! Thanks for the food, tomtom! Okay, time to go to campus to meet with Prof. A! Then a MUN meeting…and then Party with Bobby!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOBBY!
Michael’s birthday was this weekend! I got him a cool knife that he keeps playing with…I kinda regret that now cuz he might hurt someone. I took him out to lunch and to watch School of Rock during the afternoon. It was a cute movie…afterwards we went out to Hooters with Kurato, Jimmy and Alyssa. That was a pre-birthday celebration. Then I went to chinese school on Saturday, and came back to hang out with him some more at Jimmy’s house. I brought him a cake and we sung to him, and watched SNL. They all went to go drink after, and I retired home.
I’m at the office now, trying to get some work done…but ended up logging into xanga to grace all my avid readers with a new entry. At 11, I’ll be taking Deena to her car in Corona, then I’ll rush back to go to Accounting….which reminds me…I better work on my Accounting homework!
If you don’t want anyone to rain on your parade, don’t tell them what street it’s coming down! ![]()
Wow! this is so cool! Xanga thinks of everything! I didn’t realize you could post the book you’re reading on this crazy web journal until I saw that my cool cousin had it! What an epiphany! I would definately recommend this book. It’s an awesome novel with incredibly imaginative satire. Go check it out!
School has never been so exciting in my life!…the amazing thing is…my previous statement was genuine. All classes are going well, and my productivity rate is skyrocketing. I’m also working on various research projects with the professors in my department, and its just so fun picking at their brains, and getting know them. On a less geeky note, I went to work out with Joanne today…it was really good. I dragged her through a shortened version of my routine, and she learned how to get rid of ugly upper ass.
Hopefully working out in the gym won’t be too short lived….I also saw Super Stephen and Radical Ray today! I haven’t seen them in ages! Anyways it will be Michael’s birthday on Saturday, so I’m going to be going to Catalina with him on Friday so we can skip the rocks I got for him from Greece. They’re gorgeous skipping stones that I’ve dug up from the Mediterranian Sea…perfectly flat and nicely polished by the ebb and flow of the constant current. I just hope that I don’t waste them for a plop in the water or something…If I do, I’ll make him swim out to fetch them for me again hahahha.
Yay for Chinese Space Travels! Hoorah for a safe return, Yang!
