gone to china for the summer…be back on August 20th. Don’t miss me too much!
email me!
Moving out of 174 is an utter nightmare! I have too much crap. On top of that I just purchased another pair of shoes at Nordie. I might return them if my cousin has them at her store…that way I can help her get comission.
Aside from nomadic preparations at the apartment, my weekend was pretty interesting…I went to vegas with my aunt for her bachelorette party. My responsibility was to detail the trip since I’m maid of honor. The original plan was to check in, gifts&games, dine, go clubbing for the night then the next day would be trip to the spa. My aunt then wanted to confirm all the plans with her girlfriends and sent them an email saying that I had planned: check-in, gifts&games, dine, strip clubbing and then spa…STRIP CLUB?!?! You should have seen the look on my face when I read that…
I figure it was her way of saying..Diana, you’re so lame–how can you throw a bachellorette party for me without the male strippers? Let me fix it for you by telling all my friend through this confirmation e-mail. So I call her to ask her about it and she casually replies: “yeah…I hear they have a good one called Olympic Gardens. My co-workers tell me it’s very ‘tasteful’ you can check that one out.” I figure that was what she really wanted since she practically gave me instructions, so I scheduled that in for them. I didn’t have an ID to use, but I did find one in Sacramento while I was up north…but the girl was 4’10 and way more hispanic than I was…and it clearly wouldn’t work. My aunt’s brilliant friends spent a good 2 hours to come up with a complexed routine where I would use my aunt’s ID and somehow recycle it back to my aunt when they checked for it. A good 2 hours wasted cuz they didn’t even check.
We got in and let me tell you….this club was as ‘tasteful’ as habanero chilis and as tasteless as bland porridge! It was SLEEZY! Downstairs for men, was like a brothel: women on over horndogs like mustard on hotdogs. Upstairs for women had its regulars but it really made me sick to see all those guys prancing around exploiting and exposing themselves! But they really know how to rob you…my aunts friends and I were attacked on the spot cuz we looked like major newbies and were practically forced to buy my aunt two lap dances and another one on stage. She was terrified! Which served her right for wanting to go to a male strip bar in the first place..at least it wasn’t completely nude…so it was like underwear models in overly shrunk speedos. I bought her a drink and we left the place to go back to the Rio. I called it a night and the rest of the crew stayed up gambling. The next morning, the spa was out of the picture for everyone cuz they were knocked out, so I went solo and worked out. After that we ate some lunch and went shopping at the outlets then headed home. I have a bunch of pictures but I’ll spare you all…and plus what good will they do me if I just post them without profit? hehe jk
goodnight.

Well, its that time of the year again. I hate moving and packing. I was looking through my closet the other day and I have one simple question…how and why did i become a jean, shoe, bag whore? I’m counting the number of jeans that I over-spent on, and the number of shoes I hardly wear cuz I don’t dress up often enough, and the number of bags that collect dust months at a time…Still, I can’t have enough? It sounds sinful. I won’t have enough closet space at UCLA, thats for sure
Char and I went apartment shopping this past week. We’re thinking of Club California. Maybe we’ll just end up in dorms. We must go back to do some more hunting again sometime this week. Do any of the LA natives have suggestions?
I’ll be going to the UCLA AACF today to check out their ministry. Hopefully I can ask if the admissions office still has my records so I don’t have to hunt around for all my transcripts.
Installs for the Betas in 3 days, and I don’t have a dress yet. Po says not to stress about it, and I’ve been pretty obedient…but now I’m getting worried, maybe I should start looking. Happy Birthday, James!…and then Happy Birthday to Jason on Thusday. This month’s calendar is confusing. I hate when calendar makers split a box to share dates.
Planning a bridal shower/bachellorette party for my aunt in Vegas. Do I have any 21 year old look-a-likes willing to let me borrow their ID?
Today I tabled for CARE international with the gang. Here are some pictures we took as we shared the mission statement for poverty erradication. It’s pretty cool knowing that some people genuinely care about developing countries and the impovershed state their in. I’m seriously thinking of doing CARE Corps sometime in the Fall…either Guatemala or Peru. Haven’t decided yet. I miss the CARE staff in Georgia so much! They’re so sweet…and nothing can beat southern hospitality!

My beautifully ensembled table and the tabling crew…Apple paper weights ![]()

Me and Cool Ruben….doing pretty well, since our sign up sheet was more than half filled!

“CARE…where the end of poverty begins” Note to Vibhore: this statement is in fact gramatically correct. It’s on the printed flyers!

Why does Anil always look so faded?…another Limo picture.
OH the sweet memories…I hope UCLA has a good bunch of kids I can play with too.
Lastly….
I MISS UNAGI!
I’m bored cuz my friend is too fevered to talk to me on the phone.

It’s finally all on the table…Irvine, San Diego or Los Angeles?
Philly was fun. I love being compared to my stellar cousin. Its the best feeling in the world, knowing that you could never follow up on an Ivy Leauge degree. . Congrats to the class of 2004. Sorry Quang, I couldn’t make it out to Haverford! o well, regardless, it was a great time to spend with high strung family members. Yum pat & geno’s….Ive been extremely lazy with this journal…o well. adios.
Going to Philly this weekend to eat some Cheesesteaks, will return on Tuesday. As for now, here is some lit-candy for y’all….it was hilarious.
> > Dear Tech Support:
I couldn’t sleep in this morning so I decided to surf the internet and tend to this feeble journal of mine.
All feng shui goes out the window when the mercury rises. It’s bad enough as it is that its practically impossible to achieve good chi at the canyon crest views, but the unbearable heat gave me no other choice but to place my bed at the worst position ever–according to www.wofs.com. Parallel to a “deadly mirror,” directly in front of a window that is opposing the door leading to the hall way which leads directly to the bathroom. Maybe thats why I couldn’t sleep in…but who cares…at least I got 5 hours in…I would have clocked in much less if it wasn’t directly under the window…at least I caught gentle whispers of the summer night breeze.
As exasperating as Unagi can get, he’s a good dog. He knows how to brush his own teeth!…and he’s getting better with baths. I think we’re on the right path towards potty training…every three hours (minus the nights), we run out to visit his plant friends. Granted he still leaves me liquid presents here and there, there is much improvement. I can’t figure if I’ve got him trained or if it’s vice versa.
Enough of this discursive writing. On with life!….maybe sleep ![]()
