I haven’t really watched Bambi yet, so Matt lent me his copy…but my VCR isn’t reading it properly…so I’m pretty bummed. ![]()
Thank you Lord, for all the cool friends you’ve blessed me with. Let me tell you how cool they are….
First of all I have Adrian and Serena. Why are they cool you ask? Well, Adrian came over to study Monday night, and I insisted on taking a nap while he diligently buzzed away with his book.
I tell him: can you wake me up in an hour? He says: sure! (An hour passes and I’m deep in my slumber…) Adrian attempts to wake me up on 3-4 occasions. 1st occasion: Adrian: Diana…wake up, wake up… Diana: okay okay give me 20 more minutes–20 minutes pass–2nd occasion: Adrian: wake up Diana…20 minutes passed! Diana: ::mumbles something about puzzles and searching::…(this is what adrian claims I said) and Adrian being the sweetheart he is, decides to let me sleep some more….3rd occasion: Adrian: Okay, Diana wake up! wake up! there’s a tornado!!! (he uses the air pump from my exercise ball to pump air into my face and ears..he claims he did this too, but I have no pure reccollection)….hoping that my flatmate would know how to wake me up, he goes downstairs and asks “how do you wake a woman up?” Serena joins him in the feat….4th occasion: Serena and Adrian turn up my alarm, pull blankets off me, etc. Diana: finally starts to stirr….okay okay I’m up.
Serena: Take these pills! (Theraflu pills) Diana: what are they? Serena: Theraflu pills. Diana: ::groans:: Glups them (no further questions)
nothing but love…
And then, there’s my Best Friend Charlyne from home.
peachie Oz (11:19:57 PM): sigh
peachie Oz (11:20:01 PM): im so crazy sleepy
Chowy… (11:21:15 PM): go to sleep
Chowy… (11:21:23 PM): ill call you in like anhour to wake u up
peachie Oz (11:21:33 PM): really?
peachie Oz (11:21:36 PM): what a sweetheart
Chowy… (11:21:47 PM): lie down on the floor stretched out
Chowy… (11:22:02 PM): pretend your like a pencil
Chowy… (11:22:12 PM): like be as tall as u can
Chowy… (11:22:14 PM): but on your back
Chowy… (11:22:31 PM): someone in my architecture class told me that
Chowy… (11:22:37 PM): it makes u feel more rested
peachie Oz (11:22:51 PM): hahahha
peachie Oz (11:23:12 PM): thats something you’d hear on pilates
Chowy… (11:23:35 PM): really?
Auto response from peachie Oz (11:23:35 PM): char is the best! ![]()
Chowy… (11:23:36 PM): haha
Chowy… (11:23:42 PM): YAY!
Chowy… (11:23:45 PM): haha
Chowy… (12:30:59 AM): wake up!!!!!!!
Apparently the online wake up call failed…so after calling my cellphone 6 times, I finally answer. Charlyne: wake up, go study. Diana: humn…..sigh…okay. Charlyne: Don’t go back to sleep! Diana: i won’t…..thanks for waking me up char…. –we hang up– (I go back to sleep) Char tries calling my cell phone a couple more times which I don’t hear cuz I’m so sound asleep…and 15 min later, my apartment phone rings… Char: “You fell back asleep huh?” Diana: …groans… Char: wake up, Diana! Diana: okay okay. I’m awake. Char: Go read me something from your relgious studies book. Diana: ugh…do i HAVE to? Char: yes. Diana: aloud? Char: YES! DUH! Diana: ::maybe I can make something up and fool her:: “uh…okay…Popper is the father of religious science….blah blah.” Char: WITH OOMPH! Diana: huh? Char: read it with OOMPH! Diana: ::damn, she knows its bullshit:: fine….I get up turn on the lights…get my reader, and start reading some mumbo jumbo about Al Ghazzali…but by this time I’m fully awake, and she knows it too, so I doubt she heard or understood a thing I said… >.< sigh. She knows me too darn well. I love you, Char…
Moral of the stories: Diana is extremely difficult to wake up. Only unrelenting friends have the abilities to pry her from her sleep.
And now? I’m wasting away my time on xanga…and procrastinating once again. SIGH. Two more finals tomorrow and then I’m home free…then I go to Florida…then I come home…I can’t wait to go snowboarding and hang out with all my buddies at home. Don’t worry Matt, I’ll tell you in a coupla years
. Char, Adrian, Serena, again, you’re the bestestes! All you Nor Cal but truely So Cal people, give me a holla when you get back! Don’t worry Michael, one day your smile will look like this
…even if your current look is like this
…but don’t stop smiling for me like this
just because you look like this
when you try to smile like this
right now. Soon enough, things will look up…and you’ll be big pimpin once again! haha….Something to look foward to: James asked me to go to bidnight with him on new years eve…that means I get to dress up all prom style and get all fru-frued up! yay how exciting!![]()
![]()
Awwww….Serena just gave me more stuff for my cold.
some crappy theraflu drink that tastes like bitter grapefruit rind…liquified….and she gave me a Christmas present too!
I won’t open it until Christmas, but I read the card….I wanna cry…it’s so heartfelt and deliciously sentimental.
Okay….back to studying!
only so that my friends’ efforts won’t be all in vain ![]()

This is insane…another engagement! Congrats Rona and Everett! I’m so happy for both of you…may God be smiling down on both of you forever and ever.
Lets see…where to begin? I went to Chinese School today, then went to Costco with Charlyne and Cece. They had special vendors there for the holidays, and I saw an electric-acoustic guitar that really caught my eye by Takamine….its too bad I’m so broke. I guess I’ll just have to listen to my sister play…since someone (no names mentioned, Jimmy Do) broke a string to my already crappy guitar…thats not even mine…its on loan from church!
O well, what can you do. Anyways Char had a random desire to bake yesterday so we satisfied it by baking crasin cookies. We brought some over to her neighbors which they accepted happily. But when we were walking back, we saw a guy (around our age) skipping down the hill really awkwardly. I thought it was one of the funniest sights. But when we saw 10 other guys following him down the hill we got kinda scared and ran back in the house. We both tried to harlem shake and failed in the attempt. Ate apples, talked, danced, laughed, prayed and ate some more cookies. Char is the bestest friend a girl can ask for, and I wouldn’t trade her for the world!
can anyone tell me how to add music to the xanga? sigh…i’m pretty sleepy so i guess ill take a nap. update some more maybe later.

I think I’m starting to get over my flu….just in time for finals week…and more importantly, winter break. Praise the Lord! I took my first final today, and it wasn’t half as bad as I thought it was…considering I didn’t study for it at all…actually it was really easy. So I’m really happy. One class done and over with…three more to go. After classes, Matt, Janice and I went to Viet Nam cuz I had mad craving for pho…but ironically I ordered something other than Pho. Then we headed off to Disneyland to celebrate the completion of my first final and arrived around 7pm…just in time to find out that Disneyland closes at 8pm. Anyhow, the fireworks and SnowShow was a good enough reward for me…but it wasn’t short lived because afterwards, we headed off to Downtown Disney to play with legos and watch Haunted Mansion..
Watch the Haunted Mansion, guys! It has a better story than you’d expect….and some pretty good scary scenes. It would make you appreciate the ride a whole lot more too.
Thanks Matt, I had a blast! Serena just brought me some herbal supplements and warm water thats supposed to boost my immunity so I could get over this flu faster. She’s such a sweet
thanks!
I know Thanksgiving is over, but I just wanted to make a list of all the things I’m thankful for and truly appreicate in my life…since I didn’t get a chance to do it during Thanksgiving..so here it goes: 1. God’s grace, blessings and forgiveness, 2. My grandmother’s infinitely huge heart, 3. My sister, 4. My family, 5. All my friends at home, 6. The opportunity to be at Riverside, 7. All the friends I’ve made here, 8. Doors to walk through….or else we’d have to crawl through windows, 9. Everything I have, 10. Everything I don’t have, 11. Chapstick
Did you know….that its illegal to sell unpasteurized milk? But if its your own cow, you can have the milk however you like? So in some parts of the country, there are some people who really wouldn’t want to sacrifice fresh milk…so they all chip in and buy a cow…and sell shares of the cow…and each day the cow-share-holders are entitled to a certain ammount of milk. I dunno…When I read that, I just thought it was pretty crazy.

Thanksgiving started out fine. The usual annual routine of cooking and bustling about the kitchen, trying to feed our family plus friends of 20. So far everyone is still alive, so that’s another successful meal. This year is probably my last year of winning Turkey-Leg Championship with my cousin Andrew. He’s getting tall and manly, so I don’t think I can defeat him in the race next year. I got to see Pam, which is always a treat…and instead of going with mainstream pumpkin pie like everyone else in the familia, I dug into sweet tofu that auntie elaine brought over. Maddie and I decided to attack Cecilia, (my sister) while she was sleeping….and I’m paying the price now! With a fever of 103 I definately think I’m dying….
Now I’m finally back at riverside…after 3 days of being practically bed ridden….with a 4 page paper due in 2 hours.
On a happier note, Happy Birthday, STEVEN GIN! Mokoking 27!

College is great. 4 day weekends…where else can you get that?! SD on Friday, Saturday was hanging with my homies, Sunday called for sleep and Love Actually, Monday was Disneyland!
SD was really nice. I’m really envious of their 5 min walk to the beach and cliffs. The chancellor makes too much money…or has too many benefits! Shoot! Clean air and nice shopping too.

I finally got to hang out with Michael for a fair amount of time this past weekend. We hung with Gerth and Drew and visited James. Watched Love Actually….and it’s…actually not that good mainly because it was trying to cover too many scenarios at once. Maybe I was expecting too much…had its moments though.
Yup…I have paid my dues so I can be officially be called a “Disney Freak.” I have a deluxe pass, so all you premiums can call me up when you need a buddy to hang out with at Disneyland.
Matt showed me a really good spot to study and to watch the fireworks from, so maybe I’ll just use it as my hideout. I am seriously in love with that place….so very magical. The Haunted Mansion looks so good…main street is amazing…the christmas parade is fun…although matt and i found a disturbing subliminal message on one of the floats displaying toy letter blocks that spell out “at WAR” …but overall, the decorations make me feel so…warm inside. Small World is amazzzzingly breathtaking. The snow is made of suds now…and we got to watch Aladdin at the hyperion theatre which was good…even though Matt’s favorite jasmine wasn’t there…Maybe if I play who wants to be a millionare enough, I’ll be able to win that cruise for 4 at least once
that would make my $200 all worth it! YAY! Teresa and I are gonna go during finals week to study!
Doesn’t that sound insane?! Going to disneyland and studying!!

Have you ever lost something really important and thought you could never replace it? You swear up and down that its a lost cause…But then three to four years later, you happen to find it or it finds you? I promise you it’s the greatest feeling ever. Three or four years ago, I lost one of my best friends…to I forgot what…some crazy drama thing. I missed her so much and it hurt to think of the good memories we made together, but as we started talking today I knew I’ve found her again. I love you so much Tracy Lau! Its just a shame that we let three years go by without making more memories for our friendship to store. It’s such a waste…But that’s okay. The past has passed, and now its all about the present.
I still can’t explain how happy I feel right now. Words cannot convey. I’ll see you on Thanksgiving! YAY YAY!

The ATHGO symposium was off the hook! I had so much fun because people were getting really into it. We heard Koby Koomson speak (the ambassador from Ghana) he was such an inspiring speaker!….and he shook my hand and our team took pictures with him! We all wanted to hear what Dukakis had to say, but that night we got there late, so we missed a good portion of his speech….Oh well. There were some really some inspiring student peers out there that I got to meet–certainly not the average Joe off the street! (haha I’m such a crazy poet…)There’s this guy from Pakistan that wants to be the Prime Minister of Pakistan after law school, and another guy who wants to work in diplomacy as well! Yay! Pre-networking. I loved the round table debates best though people knew what they were talking about and there was actually heated discussion. I’m so glad I went to this thing. At first we didn’t know what to expect….Now I’m determined to go to the one for next quarter!
Hahahah…on the way back home, Rayiz, Vebhore Michelle and I were stuck in traffic and Kauser was driving behind us…Rayiz and Vebhore started throwing pennies at her through the sunroof…and actually got their heads out of the sunroof to aim…It was so dangerous cuz Rayiz was the driver…however, it was pretty amusing…but then, thats not where the fun stops! Rayiz encourages V to run out to put up Kauser’s windsheild wipers up and run back to the car….which he did…but traffic started moving, so we had to go too…and Vebhore was running after us–(trust me…being in traffic is way better than walking or running cuz he didn’t catch up)…so instead he had to jump into Kauser’s car…and believe you me…she was furious! But it was all fun and games cuz we got into another traffic jam on the 10 and he put them back down and ran back to our car….I wonder what the rest of the freeway was thinking…(good thing rayiz’s back windows were tinted) good times! good times!

It annoys the eff out of me when you’re being mad at someone and you forget why. And then when they IM you outta the blue, to ask for some quick fact cuz they don’t know who else to ask….you think nothing of it–practically forgotten you’re mad, until you realize how rude the person is being to you…..and then you remember why you’re mad again plus more. ARGH! BE GONE WITH RUDE PEOPLE!!!!
that’s so damn constipating….especially when you’re sleep deprived and your butt is already tired from yanking multiple pages of essay out of it. -
I didn’t realize I had so much on my plate until yesterday when I was compiling my weekly agenda…a paper, two midterms, and 2 long complicated homeworks, and an ATHGO symposium at ucla to wrap up my week. MUST KEEP THE MOMENTUM!!!!
!!!! hahaha that smiley looks like someone is squeezing the crap out of it.
this one looks constipated… okay enough procrastinating….KEEP THE MOMENTUM!!!! I guess I’ll have to miss chinese school this week…but thats okay because I got 100 on my midterm, and my chinese teacher told me I have ho sing jik! (That means good student
) I can’t wait until ski dazzle…and I can’t wait until winter break. When I come back from Florida, I have to hit the slopes!!! WHO’s coming with me??! I guess no use daydreaming about that stuff now….just gotta keep on swimmin…keep on swimmin…
